in-retrospect

Procrastination still has meaning in my life. I'm still eyeing another ugly one next week, which frankly isn't a big deal. Really, not in the least. The challenge now is putting the pieces back together and trying not to fall apart in the weeks ahead.
There's so much to do, and these days I've enjoyed doing absolutely nothing except bemoan the slow demise of Angel. I was forced to lie down on the couch for an entire day thanks in part to a debilitating migraine, so in that time I was reintroduced to Mal and Zoe and the misfit crew of Serenity. Yes, as fate would have it, a day or so afterwards it was announced that there would be a Firefly movie. It still won't make up for the fact that next fall will be the first time in eight years without a Joss Whedon show, without a well written show that does not treat its audience like idiots.
I did not intend this to be a rant, honest. I just want to recap a few things, but I suppose since I feel cheated by the WB and every other tv network lately, what can you expect. Remember Karen Sisco or Miracles.
I will be watching Wonderfalls since it promises to be smart and funny and tragic. After all, its by Tim Minnear. I won't be watching any more shows by the WB. Dark Shadows is not Angel and quite frankly I'm not interested in watching a stupid soap opera about vampires.

Ok, wish me luck. I go into my little quiz as my friend, Brookie, likes to call it, tomorrow. I should be done with it Thursday after which I will dine with my pals Smirnoff and Kalua oh so happily. Then I will concentrate on rebuilding my poor domain and taking that other nasty quiz called MPRE.
See ya after day 1.

It has come to my attention that there is quite a delicious scandal brewing at my law school in regard to an upcoming external advocacy competition. The advocacy teams are the school's pride and joy, but it seems it has gotten out of hand.
I'll elaborate when I know more, but good luck to HLSA.

no-cable

Oh crap. I just found out Witch Hunter Robin started last week on Adult Swim, and I missed it. I completely forgot it was premiering, and it looks so cool too. Granted, I don't have cable, but I had a friend who was perfectly willing to tape it for me since I download the lastest fansubs of Inuyasha for us. Now I have to wait till it repeats, which is probably a blessing in disguise.
I really need to get off the laptop. Honestly, procrastinating is so much more entertaining. I don't want to get off my puter. We're having a love affair of epic proportions. ::pout::

to MSNBC? I noticed it's going through a url change to include the msn in its address, but lately it's just not working in mozilla. I mean, if they don't want my traffic, fine. They can stay incompatible for all I care. Mozilla will rule the world.

Tick, tock. Tick, tock. I feel like Captain Hook. I'm standing on my pirate ship, perceiving the open seas carefully with hardly a gale blowing at the sails, resting my one remaining hand at the mast. The crocodile isn't there, but I face the bloody thing three days hence, and it seems as if all I have to do is flip a coin to determine the winner of our next meeting.
Get me in a better mood next time and I'll use Madam la guillotine for my next anology, though to be honest I'm rather amused with this one. Really, I wasn't kidding when I told my roommate that I was itching to write. It just sounds so much better than mineral interests.

bar-update

I just took the only practice MBE I will ever take this time. Same one I took last summer. I scored an 82 then. I friggin scored a 113 this time, and I think the only reason I didn't score higher was because I was blanking out on Evidence and Contracts. That and I was just tired by the last 100 questions, which was obvious based on my score. A frapuccino will be a must next week because I need my stamina.
I'm exstatic!!! A 113!!!!! I've never scored that high. I mean on the actual bar exam my scaled score was a 104 so that has got to mean something regardless. Yes, some of the questions were familiar because of Micromash. About 10 to 15 to be exact, but the rest were fair game. At least I won't feel like I'm going into this already set up to fail because quite frankly up until today that's how I've been feeling, and it's the worst feeling in the world. Like hitting up against a brick wall with no where to go but foward.

In a surprising and delightful move, the BBC has decided to add more disABLED actors and extras to their shows and contests. They cite public opinion and the actual reality that a minority of the population actually have or know of someone with a disABILITY. Imagine that. A country that isn't ashamed to show the not so perfect bodies on public tv. They don't throw fits at an exposed breast, or a little shag, and now they're going to include us, the beautiful people and in a non-reality type setting.

Another law blog bites the dust. En Banc has shut down, which is such a damn shame. I was really enjoying it too. Apparently a bunch of good law blogs are disappearing either because they've lost their anonymity or because they have to censor themselves. How sad. You'll be missed.
