The Fiesta Farewell was today, and it finally hit me. In about a month's time I will be graduating from law school (hopefully). It was hard to believe, but now it's a reality. Standing there on the rafters next to my fellow 3Ls as they took our picture, it seemed rather surreal. The wind was blowing, many of us held margaritas, and by the time they took the Section C picture it felt like we were 1Ls for one brief moment standing for a retake. Almost everyone was there, including those who had graduated last semester, and it was so nice to see them all again. Afterall, we were Section C, the roudiest section of 1Ls that year, and the most memorable of the last few years. And among those standing were friends and companions, people I hope I never lose touch with no matter where I end up in life.
Oh my goodness, I'm graduating!! No more school. No more homework assignments. No more roll sheets to sign as proof that I attended class. Sheesh. Oh yeah, and no more Dean P.!! Let the celebration begin on May 17th.

So I'm sitting here pretending to write my paper while chatting with Katie and watching Roswell, when suddenly out of the blue Sci-fi advertises a new show. It's Roar, and of course I'm amused because I remember watching that the summer before my sophomore year. And the star of the series, a young Heath Ledger.

Oh my god, straight from the rumor mill. Watase Yuu is planning a full fledged sequel to Fushigi Yuugi called Genbu Kaiden. I'm wondering if it will deal with the Genbu Seishi and their Miko that were introduced briefly in the later part of the FY series. That could be interesting if it's true.
I'm just weary of sequels for FY. Though I did enjoy the last two OVAs, they just weren't as good as the actual series.

In Utah the court has decided that it has no authority to fire a teacher soley because of her sexuality. Only the school board has this authority if it finds that the teacher is immoral.

I still have yet to see signs of life from him. Excuse me while I go mad!
Yesterday was an adventure. Katie and I took the bus yesterday to downtown, and hence I did no work. Forget the fact that I have the copyright paper looming over my head like a banshee about to scream some much unwanted sense into my poor, yet to be crammed head! But that's besides the point.
I had a blast. The day was nice, and there weren't that many people at the Rivercenter Mall. At least not until we attempted to make that mad dash to the IMAX theater, and it just seemed like everyone in the mall was suffering from drunkeness from their slow laborious walk! Seriously, when you see a scooter zooming your way, that's a clue to move out of the way like normal ignorant people and not stand there and look amused. That's only reserved for people like me.
Hmm, perhaps today is the best day to write...
We ended up watching What a Girl Wants, which was just cute in that good way, though I was afraid I'd have to get an empty cup for Katie after I saw the looks she was giving to Colin Firth. Not that I blame her. We also saw The Lion King at the IMAX, which was just amazing. It's a good movie for that kind of screen. It would have been better had it been just the two of us there though, that way I could have sung along. I'm a dork that way.
We did do a little shopping. Two of the blouses I bought don't fit right, and growing bigger breasts won't help. I also left with the new Evanescence cd and the Chicago soundtrack. Now I just need to rip them both so I can play them on my laptop, and share them on Kazaa to spite the RIAA. That's what they get for spoofing things, seriously. I like to test music pain free before spending a dime, without the buggy noises that leave you with a nasty headache! Persistance is a virtue afterall.

I invite everyone to watch this series, The Ghosts of Albion, written by Amber Benson and Christopher Golden. It's actually quite interesting, and episode 2 is out so that's a plus. You need Flash or Realplayer to view it.

The RIAA is suing students for file sharing. I'm wondering how the RIAA got into the private networks, unless the schools granted them that access. It is rather funny that they're suing for that much money. Money a college student obviously doesn't have.

RIP Miracles. I think I kinda expected it seeing as they kept pre-empting the show, but it still annoys me. I like ABC less for it now.

More Angel/Buffy news at Dark Horizons reports that James Marsters will go over to Angel if it's renewed for its fifth season, and that Anthony Stewart Head has shown interest as well. Giles and Spike on the show, excuse me while I bounce around and off the walls. I know they're changing Angel in order to open it to first time viewers. I just hope they don't screw things up.
The report also hints more at what might happen when Buffy and Angel reunite at the end of this season. I want to know. I really do, but damn it, I'm determined to stay spoiler free even if I do know what happens to Xander.

I'm worried sick about you, and though I know I could just send you a message to say this, it doesn't get rid of the fear. There's no guarantee even that I'll hear from you until you're well, and honestly that's not enough because we both know I'm impatient. Predictably so. I want, no, I need to know you're alright.
