forgotten love

It was just yesterday.
Yesterday and the day before
Trapped within days
No beginnings or endings.

His clammy hand touched me,
Soft as rose petals,
Frozen like the moon.
Pale lips caressed my neck
then down and down
as my velvet robes fell
into the abyss.

My eyes thus closed
Imagined eternity
surrounded by love and tenderness.
My dream does end
and love is not there,
Yet we are joined
Two bodies, two souls,
a deluge of passion
forsaken hate.

Gentle words of love
as one becomes two.
desires are extinguished
like a candle without a flame,
forgotten love.
