So far

2007 and I are not best buds. My made up karma says I'm due for an awesome year, so the badness has to stay away!

I did realize something today. I missed my blog anniversary. It's not that much of a big deal for me since I started this way back before blogs became popular. I couldn't even remember when, so I looked it up on the net archive, and it was last month. My blog is a December baby too.

So here's to four lovely years of rants, ramblings, and sarcasm. I do promise much more.

There is nothing on the internet!

As if one could watch the internet like tv.

First, for all my law-minded readers, in case you didn't know Crescat Sententia is now a .net. Update your links accordingly. Their former domain name was hijacked and now the new owners are stealing their content and traffic. It's just not acceptable. Seriously, if you link to Will's site then do him a favor and stop linking to the old site. The jerks don't need the traffic.

In other news I'm a raging Democratic with libertarian tendencies.

In other news it rained today.

Wilma and Miami

I have a lot of stress in my life right now. Contributing to that stress is the small fact that bar results come out next week. Ah!

I've actually been freaking out slightly because of Wilma. See, Fred yelled ... Ok, that was bad, but I'm an odd ball, and I can't help myself.

My brother, B., is currently attending college in Miami, and I haven't been able to communicate with him since Ms. Wilma. He's been able to contact the parental units, and thankfully, we know he's alright. The college is providing the students food and electricity, but there is no gas and much of Miami has no electricity. It's all very disorganized, and well, my brother was very happy that nothing happened to his car. I can't blame him. He's had that car for years. I'm just thankful nothing happened to him because the last time we chatted online he sounded nervous. He wanted to know about "this beast."

This has just been one wild summer.

Fun weekend

Youngest brother was here for the weekend. He came down to celebrate with a friend's 21st and of course to see yours truly. We actually had a nice time though I always feel bad whenever anyone has to use San Antonio's public transportation with me. The poor boy was almost thrown across the bus on one occasion. He looked at me and asked me how I did this every day.

Highlights: Notre Dame said hello and goodbye to the mormons fairly quickly. We arrived in time to see the rest of the fourth quarter after I griped at a parental unit for not calling to give me updates. She was supposed to call, and I thought they were losing!

My little bro can cook! It's a family thing. I now posses the best spinach salad recipe. It's all mine. Bwah ha ha!!

Um, yeah...

Saturdays

I have a question. Is MT 3.2 going to be free? Not that I wouldn't mind paying a reasonable price for the upgrade they seem to be hinting at, except I will be at a crossroads. A dilema. MT 3.2 or NIN tickets that go on sale next Saturday, which by the way both my siblings have seen in concert, and I have not. Hmm...Trent and Queens of the Stone Age versus MT. Gee...

Oh, and Texas sucks. We are the state obsessed with beauty pageants. A beauty pageant will pre-empt an important showing of Battlestar Galactica on NBC! As if I wanted to see near anorexic women feigning to want world peace on a Saturday night. Give me starship battles, and sex, and, and, ohhh what about that cliffhanger!

Another beauty pageant! I started watching the Miss Texas Pageant two weeks ago, and some cities have their brains screwed on wrong when it comes to their ideal beauty. I think a gal with poofy blond hair won, but then again I really wasn't paying attention. I stopped caring when all the lovely hispanic ladies were shut out.

And did I mention it was my mother's birthday yesterday. Feliz Cumpleaños, mami. Today it's my parents wedding anniversary. 29 years. I hope they throw a huge party for their 30th.

February 24, 2003

I just realized I have so much to do today, and I feel like not doing any of it. Go figure.

Vidrio-negro.net expires tonight. I will miss it even if I do feel guilty that I wasn't able to do more with it. I've just had no time, and with blackglass as big as it has become, I really don't feel I can devote myself to anything else.

Since the domain name stops working today I have to go and move some greymatter files to morphiadream, and I have to upload Yaoi no Hentai to morphia as well. This also means I have to install moveabletype over there as well.

It doesn't help that I'm literally exhausted, and that it's nasty outside. They're close to predicting snow! It was 80 degrees yesterday, and today the high was 36. It's rainy and will be turning to ice tonight. Yikes.

Oh yeah, I made minor updates to blackglass, and this includes some new challenge winners. This new batch of writings are worth reading.

Neil Gaiman is my hero. At least his imagination is according to his recent journal entry on Bush and Saddam. hehe

I'm starting to hate the new blackglass layout, and the sad thing is that it's not even up yet. I'm still putting it up. It should hopefully go up sometime this weekend barring any major interuptions.

I have butterflies in my stomach. I'm singing the national anthem at the women's basketball game today. It's exciting, but I always get nervous. It never fails. If I can make it through the song without a shaky voice, I will be happy. I keep telling myself, the applause will be better.

If there is complete silence, I will freak.

edited later to add: Oh my God, I forgot the words to the anthem!! ::laughs:: It was only a small part, but still. Now I need to redeem myself. My voice did sound nice though.

Watching: Inuyasha.

The timer on my tv is blinking, which can only mean one thing. The lights went out sometime in the last three weeks. Why is that a bad thing? It means that maybe it didn't tape Buffy. Gah!!!

And why must school start tomorrow. It's downright inhumane.

The layout isn't going up tonight either. I hurt my hand working on it yesterday, and it's incredibly sore today. Blah!

Just a quick little update even though it's technically Sunday. After 8 excruciating hours, I finally have a new layout for blackglass. Right now I'm in the process of changing the css and altering the actual pages. I'm amused because margins aren't as hard as I thought they were. I'm hereby kissing tables good-bye!

The new layout should hopefully go up tomorrow at the earliest, if not then Monday. Just hope I don't get sick of it before I actually get it up.

I did end up going to see Chicago today as well. I loved it. I love musicals, and the movie makes you feel like you're sitting in a theater in Broadway watching the actors strut their stuff on stage. Visually, it's a masterpiece. It's always interesting to see what a director does to film a musical from the stage that is limited to a few set pieces.

The singing was very good as well. I'm still reeling from seeing Richard Gere sing, and he has an interesting voice too. I love Rene Zellweger's voice and Queen Latifah's voice the best. It's a must buy soundtrack.
