The trailers for the upcoming Eragon have not been flattering. Each new one makes the movie seem like a cousin to the much reviled Dungeons and Dragons movie than the Harry Potter series. I haven't read the book. The fact that I'm not really anxious to see this movie now, and now this review might spell doom for the movie. Then again FOX is notorious for messing with their franchises. X-Men 3 anyone.

ryc: I bet I know which lecturer you're referring to... :-) He's a complete nut. But the materials are indeed quite good. I've switched over to Micromash, so viva la Micromash too. Although I am not sure how I feel so far about doing the problems on the computer.

I read the book and enjoyed it, but from what I hear they changed many of the major plot points and characters for the movie. It would probably be getting better reviews if they stuck to the book more closely. I haven't seen the movie yet, but I may watch it just to see how much they screwed it up.
