Oh my god, straight from the rumor mill. Watase Yuu is planning a full fledged sequel to Fushigi Yuugi called Genbu Kaiden. I'm wondering if it will deal with the Genbu Seishi and their Miko that were introduced briefly in the later part of the FY series. That could be interesting if it's true.
I'm just weary of sequels for FY. Though I did enjoy the last two OVAs, they just weren't as good as the actual series.

Watase Yuu's new work Genbu Kaiden is about Genbu no Miko, I think the first miko in the Shijin Tenchishou. I hope she also does one on the Byakko no Miko! It should be really interesting. Sort of a prequel, ne?

I am so glad that a new Fushigi Yugi story (well, not really new, but you know what i mean) is out! I agree that the OAV's were good but not as good as the original series...anyway, just wanted to say hi!

I can't wait for the Genbu Kaiden to come out in America. As well, I'm REALLY hoping they do a Byakko Kaiden as well, since that was my favourite love story in FY. I agree, the OVAs were good, just not as good as the original series. So I'm really looking forward to this one!!
